I thought women could do anything a man can according to these women.

nobody is saying Barry Obama should stay home with his two small children.

Actually, the only attacks I've heard based on her staying home with her kids have come from conservative women.  The Liberal women I hear attacking Palin are doing so because she represents that McCain economic agenda of selling out America to oil companies and war interests.

women's lib is about choice. If a women wants to have a job & she is QUALIFIED she should have a right to work. But if she chooses to have a family she should take care of that family. She chose to have a baby at age 44 knowing she was risking that child's health. She ended up having a child who has special needs. It is not easy for a child to grow up that is like the baby she choose to have. Not she is not taking responsibility for this child. Her ?8 year old daughter sat holding the baby last night. This child was to small to be responsible for a 4 month old baby. This is sick. Women's lib is not about doing what ever you want but it is about being able to make choices & not be stopped unless there is a good reason. This women is not qualified to be President. Why? because several men ran who might not be any better than her but they put their time in to run & they deserve & our nation deserves to have someone who isn't impulsively throw on us the was Palin has been. I don't know of any of the men running who have the scandals/the misuse of power that this women has....Is she better cause she is a women? NO that is not what freedom for women is about...McCain wanted a crook who had too much too lose. This has nothing to do with being a women. He did underestimate the Hillary supporters who actually find it insulting to be so minsunderstood by him.

Palin is only being "attacked" by far left bloggers.  The great majority of Americans and the great majority of liberal progressives have no problem with the kid issue.

If there are attacks, they are because she is woefully inexperienced, has far right wing stances on all issues, did not articulate her stances on the issues during her speech, deciding instead to try to trash Obama.

If you think she's being attacked now, just wait until it comes out that she was for the "Bridge to Nowhere" before being against it, feels us being in Iraq is due to an "order from God", does not believe humans have anything to do with global warming, is against Federally funded abortions regardless of any and all circumstances, is against teaching birth control in the classroom as part of s*x ed., was part of an organization in the 1990's that wants Alaska to secede from the union, not to mention the fact that she is under investigation in Alaska, and may have had an affair with one of her husband's friends.  And I feel sorry for her once Joe Biden gets ahold of her in their debate.

Definately not what they are saying. What they are saying is why would she put her daughter to be public ridicule just to be VP. She could have waited a few years to run for a federal office without putting her daughter through what she is doing. Now she has 2 kids that need her and she rather go an campaign then be with her children. She doesn't want us to talk about her family but she wants people to vote for her based on being a mother of 5 kids.

Women's opinions are as varied as men's.  Liberal women simply  see her for the "gun-toting, turn-back-the-clock conservative battle-axe" that she is.  :-)  Others simply question where she was when her daughter was skipping out on the abstinence lectures she touts so much.

Which liberal women are those?

Some women are concerned about the idea that she has a five month old child with Down's syndrome, and four other children, and another baby about to enter the household -- all while she will try to devote her full attention to the Vice Presidency without having had any National or Foreign Policy experience.   It is a tall order.

Nonetheless, how she handles her many children is her choice.   But whil;e you can see some newspaper arrticles suggesting some women think she should make a different choice, and some blog posts -- I have yet to see any suggestion that it is liberal women who think this.  There are some -- but not that many -- women who express the thought you ask about, but they are women of all political persuasions.
