Why is saturn called the black star?

like i found somewhere in the internet that some of the names the call saturn is the black star. why is that?

  1. Nothing in science has ever referred to Saturn as being the black star.

    Could be some New Age thing or some other belief system.

  3. well it could be the fact that it looks alot like a dwarf star, it would be dark 'cause of the fact that nuclear fusion can't occur at the finite mass that saturn has

I've never run across that term for Saturn, or any other planet for that matter.  Paul Theroux wrote a book about Africa called "Dark Star Safari".  Great Read!!!  Of course Africa isn't Saturn, but it does have a lot of blacks. And a lot of stars have done concerts for African relief.  Sorry, but this is the best I can offer.
