Reinforcement is key.  s*x is as natural as me eating. s*x is a necessity to effectively continue the species. It shouldn't be ignored nor should it be encouraged. However it should be made clear that s*x between two consenting adults is fine.  Then after that lesson contraception should be studied. It should be made clear what the age of adulthood is first before any of this can be taught.

My parents are very liberal and they never taught me about s*x ever

I learned a lot froms chool and I think school is much more comfortable environment to teach s*x ed type stuff

I thank school and heatlh classes for giving me real information cuz my parents just always felt uncomfortable teachin that type of thing

It's taught in the schools because most parents weren't living up to their parental responsibility and teaching their children about s*x.

the point is that many parents do not have the knowledge of birth control and safety that would be required to properly educate a teenager on s*x safety. in addition, many parents do not want to teach their children about this issue because they recognize that they may not have all the information and would prefer a trained educator to do it. and finally, the reason why this is taught in school is because it is a public health risk. comprehensive s*x ed is proven to reduce teen pregnancy rates while abstinence-only education actually increases pregnancy rates in places where it is implemented. no one is teaching the teenagers what goes where, but it is imperative for them to know how to keep themselves safe and what the risks are (std's, pregnancy, etc.)

Yes, but most parents are too incompetent to teach s*x education, so the government must administrate classes and hire people whom are qualified to educate the youth.

Parents have long had a difficult time with that responsibility.  Perhaps parents need better s*x education also as well as education on how to communicate with their children on this issue.
