Why is shannon silva from ghosthunters on paranormal investigation?

I was watching "E" last night and that girl from ghosthunters shannon silva was on an episode in paranormal investigators where she hired a crew to come check her haunted condo that used to be a school house.I thought that was kinda of strange since I see her on ghosthunters all the time, I bet they are all actors.

I just saw Shannon Silva on an episode of A&E’s *Paranormal State* where she claims her apartment (a former school building) might be haunted. Why is she on another show focused on investigating paranormal activity, posing as a concerned client, with no mention of her affiliation with *Ghost Hunters Intl.*? Seems fishy (or at least irresponsible or misleading programming) for there to be no note of this connection presented during the show. It also seems to suck some of the credibility from the investigations presented on both programs. I enjoy watching both shows (as well as the US version of *Ghost Hunters*), but now I wonder about their integrity.  As far as I know, the websites for these shows haven't addressed this issue, though I think it's safe to assume the investigators on *Paranormal State* have heard of Ms. Silva, as she's on a popular paranormal investigation show, one they surely have seen and are aware of if they're active in keeping up with other investigations and are participants in a larger investigation community.

Yup I saw that too as well as one of the twin demonologist from TAPS too on one of E's 1st shows..kinda makes ya wonder don't it?

These were episodes that were firmed years ago and it was this incident that got her involved in the field of paranormal investigating.

I was under the impression that the footage you see on Paranormal States was filmed 5 years ago when all of them were students at Penn State.

Maybe Shannon got interested in the whole paranormal bit after she witnessed an investigation in her home.

TAPS (the team on Ghost Hunters) was originally a genuine paranormal investigative team. What you have to understand is that TV contracts do change everything - I knew a few of the guys before the show, and they are completely different now than they were before. And of course they are trained and paid to add a little pizazz to their shows, naturally. Something has to keep you watching, because quite frankly there just isn't enough paranormal activity out there to be captured in one night's work to make an entire show out of it. I'm currently on a TV show about the paranormal, and we're not doing so good because we DON'T dramatize what we do. That's the breaks!
