My girlfriend and I have been having s*x for 3 years and she has still major pain during it.

Any ideas what the reasons might be?

hey, i think she should consult an ob-gynecologist. i hope it's not some serious gynecological problem but just to be sure, ask her ob-gyne as early as possible.

change the positions constantly. Let her do this job in a way where she is comfortable.

Almost for certain it's because she's too dry... probably because she's not turned on enough to have s*x comfortably.

Do the two of you spend lots of time (like more than 5 minutes - hopefully much, *much* more) with kissing and foreplay?   If not, that's why... and helping her to have a couple of orgasms before you go putting it in there will fix it.
