Why is six flags in california closing? did someone buy it or is it just going out of business?

i just found out that its closing. also on heir website the calenders which say what days they are closed most of september is closed and every month after that!

They are not closing, they are switching over from summer to fall operating hours (hence why they are only open on the weekends).

They r probly closing because they had a recent accident that a boys head was removed wile trying to climb a fence.NOt sure if thats in california though

This rumor comes up every now and then.  There was a point where they were very close to closing.  However, that is no longer the case.  What you are noticing is them switching to their Off-Season hours.  This means that the main park will generally be closed on weekdays, and Hurricane Harbor will close for the season at the end of September until next Spring.
