  2. It has an average of 60% of the BTU (energy units) value of normal coal and it can take up to twice as much to produce the same amount of electricity.  It also has a much higher mercury concentration and is considered more of environmental hazard.

    It can be however used for other uses outside of energy.  For example coal slag is used in some cleaning abrasives and for construction materials.

    most slags are really useful in some way or another......

    so to even it out, coal slag is totaly useless... to keep the world in an equal balance

    lol actually its not useless, it's used as surfacing on built-up roofing and in manufactured products such as slag cement and slag wool.

  8. It is not for burning, it is to keep your fire from extinguishing during the night.
