Why is sociology termed as a science..?

In a science, there is a consistent or concrete evidence for e.g.- Candle burns in presence of oxygen & this fact can never be changed but

In Sociology, you have to experiment with individuals some like ice cream while others don't ( facts are not consistent) so why is Sociology termed as Science ?

  2. I think technically it's a social science where you study human society and individual relationships in and to society.

    While they can't always come to scientific truths, they do you scientific methods to do their research.
