I bought 3 types of local honey today. Regular, Regular with Comb and Black.

I have never seen black honey. I know it can get old and dehydrate and it gets darker then but this is starting off REALLY dark.

  1. clover honey is very light in color and has a sweet flavor.   buckwheat honey very dark and strong in flavor  the bees have gotten the pollen from buckwheat which is very dark in color. Buckwheat is a grain that you don't see much of anymore. My dad used to plant it to brake up the hard ground in northern  Penn. Hope this helps
