were the future programers, you know, the ones at nbc and cnn and fox

and turner network, along with mtv and vh1 and so on and so on . . .

Because people are so influenced by the media of what is "cool" and acceptable or attractive. The media gives praise to people who are put together. Even if the person can't help their circumstance...
