Question:

Why is stephenie meyer's book called breaking dawn?

it seems to me that all of the books have something to do with their names. but I'm really not sure about breaking dawn. and new moon i cant remember it either?

can anyone explain please?

New Moon means like a fresh beginning and something new like the start of a new day but much more important than that and when Edward leaves and when he returns are both new moons because they are both changes. This name was also chosen because lunar cycles all have a full moon once in the cycle and werewolves come out in the full moon and Jake is a werewolf.

    Breaking Dawn also means new start and a new beginning but this time it is more like a start of a new life and a total change because Bella is starting a new life married and a new life as a vampire.

  4. A new moon is complete darkness, which is kind of what Bella's life was when Edward left. As for Breaking Dawn, it represents a new beginning, which is Bella as a vampire. Also, that little phrase "it's always darkest before the dawn" could come in. The darkest part of her life (being without Edward) is over.

    if you read carfully the books you'll see the words of the title appear throughout the story

  7. I think that unlike the other's which all say why they are called what they are called in the books, it symbolizes the start of the rest of Bella and Edward's lives. Like they've had so much to deal with and at the end, all the troubles are over, like a new day. It sounds confusing but I know what I mean.

  8. well I haven't read breaking dawn... unfortunately. But in New Moon, I expect it has something to do with the werewolves, and how the new werewolves come into play (ie, Jacob)
