Why is surf wax called "s*x wax"??

I heard from someone today that it was called s*x wax. Is there a reason for this?

s*x Wax is a brand name of surf wax - the most popular brand, in fact. You hear people call all surf wax by that brand name just because it is the most popular, much the same way many people call all cola "Coke" just because Coke is the most popular brand of cola.

s*x Wax is the brand name. The founder said he chose the name because he wanted a name that would catch people's attention. I think he accomplished his goal.

Like someone said, it's a brand name and you remember it.  Also, s*x Wax is one of the few brands of surf wax that comes in different aromas and colors.  In case you are wondering, surf wax is rubbed onto surfboards to prevent you from sliding off the smooth surface of the board's deck.
