Why is swearing (cursing, cussing, whatever) wrong?

it is a sign of ignorance.  It means that you are not smart enough to use a better choice of words for what you are trying to say.  Anyway, that's what the h**l my mother told me!  She swore like a truck driver though.

Because it's morally offensive and shows a lack of education. Now don't get me wrong, everyone does it. I am just talking about the people that seem to say F this and F that and F seems to be every other word out of their mouths.

It is not illegal, but it is generally considered to be rude and impolite.  In addition, it brands the speaker as being too ignorant to come up with a more descriptive term.

It's only wrong if someone takes offense to what is said! There are a number of really thin skinned people out there,who will take offense when you just look at them!

I guess it all depends on what you believe...I cuss all the time...my wife doesn't always like it but sometimes the situation calls for it...I should probably reign it in a bit though.
