  1. Don't know, I have never texted anyone.  However, as a dad paying for the kid's cell service, I know the kids were addicted.  That is until I had the service blocked.  That was 3 months ago, they are still going through withdrawals.

  2. Your question is multifaceted, but I will try to address it to the best of my ability. Text messaging is so addictive for several reasons. What other way can you have a five minute conversation and sread it out over the course of a day? Maybe with letters in the mail... otherwise none. It is a way to stay in touch with friends and family on your schedule and thiers. You can send a text to you significant other at 9AM and they can respond when they have time... for that one reason it is addictive

Keeping things in perspective: How many risk their lives driving down the road eating a Big Mac? I could understand a Whataburger... but a Big Mac... come on? Now business meetings are odius. When companies are having neetings about thier meetings people get bored with the odious nature of the meetings. Is it right.... no. But you didn't ask for the moral implications of the texting. Stoping conversations: What does it really take to pause for 1 munite when talking. A little rude maybe...

My cell phone is my link to all my kids and my wife. I hardly ever talk to two of my kids and when I get a text or a call from them, I like to take the call or answer the text. if I am in a business meeting, I probably would not take the call... i may text them back.

Is it right... no not really. It's the new world... you got to adapt with the the times and move forward.

  3. yeah there are girls at my school that text throughout the day i mean they just sit there and dont do anything besides texting

  4. Texting is so addicting because when people get bored they tend to go straight to there phone and start talking to people or texting them, then its something people like to do and eventually become good at it...so its addicting like when u start u cant just stop... Yes people tend to do it in there cars alot of the time and it may cause a distraction but since people are so used to texting instead of always calling then thats what they are going to do.
