  1. Camping is like heaven on earth no worries you get to eat, fish, swim, climb, and enjoy life its a way to make memories and live life at the fullest extent try it sometime and you will change your mind

  2. I don't pay to camp...what is your point

  3. A person camping is not a homeless person. They just want a change of the enviorment that they live in  from day to day. Camping is a way to enjoy the outdoors, and nature, smell the air, cook outdoors, do a little fishing, and get away from the day to day stress. If you have never tried it, don't knock it.

  4. My ancestors were pilgrims and pioneers who first settled Native American lands in New Jersey and Connecticut, fought genocidal wars against American Indian tribes, and later traveled all the way to California before the Gold Rush to become farmers. And I carry on that innate desire to move into the wilderness in order to live free and do as I will, although now-a-days, it's only a nearly pointless exercise to find scenery or solitude, since I can't live up there or claim anywhere as my own.

  5. “In solitude, where we are least alone.”   Lord Byron

I think that says it all.

  6. Most live in city's and just want to get out of the concrete jungle and be in the wilderness, with its fresh air and trees. Its usually families that go camping too and renting a camp ground spot is much cheaper then hotels.

  7. Because the nature and outdoors relaxes me, and keeps me sane. It's let's us slow things down and do things are our own pace. There are no schedule to meet, no meeting to attend. What price can you put on that? Think of it this way...

    Camp reservation?  $25

Gas to drive to the campsite?   $30

    Food                    $10

    Connecting with the outdoors???   PRICELESS

  8. Because of the scenery.

  9. To get away from it all...no noise of traffic. Pure total silence. Fresh Mountain air that fills your lungs. Feel the wind in your face and hair. Just to see the stars at night. Seeing the natural beauty around you.

  10. If you don't enjoy camping, don't come here to harass the rest of us. Stay in your house and enjoy the rest of your life while the rest of us go out and enjoy nature the way it was supposed to be, instead of on Animal Planet.
