  1. cockatiels love you to rub their head, around the beak, ears neck and top of their head, he just likes it.

  2. its his sleepy button. when you press it it makes him sleepy?

  3. I have found two things similar with my Green Cheek Conure. If I place my thumb and forefinger around his beak he will open his mouth and kinda move back and forth. I think that this is because its what they do in the wild with their mom to get food. Second, if your fingers are back a bit on their head and feathers, it might be her ears. My conure just opens his mouth and kinda yawns like hes trying to open up his ears like we do with elevation change.

    Great question!

  4. HE PROBABLY IS CLEARING HIS MUCUS MEMBRANES.

  5. I believe most birds pineal glands are on the tops/sides of their heads. It's how they know it's morning, the lights hits that gland and sends the light/signal to the retina. Our pineal glands (humans) aren't located at the top of our heads, obviously, or else we'd all wake up on time every morning. Anyways, you keep putting your fingers over it causing the darkness and signaling to your bird that it's time for bed.
