Why is that when 2 mirrors are hinge it forms a multiple images? (with scientific explanation)?

  1. Say you have mirrors A and B on a hinge.

    Some things will be visible from their light just bouncing off mirror A and into your eyes.  

    Some things will be visible from their light just bouncing off mirror B and into your eyes.  

    But some things will also be visible if their light bounces off mirror A, onto mirror B, and from there into your eyes.  Or off mirror B, onto mirror A, and from there to your eyes.

    If the angle between the mirrors is acute enough, you could even get A-B-A-eyes, B-A-B-eyes, etc.
