  1. dude everyone has a diffrent style

just cause ur drawings dont look like jhonny sixpack down the roads dosent mean they arent good.

embrace your style of art, not shun it

  2. You seem to have a good hand for the cartoon styles, but i am betting these characters are not based from a life model? If we draw from photos or other 2d images, or from the mind, then we miss a lot of the fine details that we wold see on a figure in real life. Maybe try sketching people around you, your family as they sit to eat, at the computer or watch tv, people in parks and cafes are good as they soon move on  prompting you to draw quickly and expressively.

Theres also a link here to drawing in negative space/shape, as this can help stop our minds form interfering as we look - sometimes the mind thinks it knows what should be there and we draw this rather than simply drawing what we really see.

Maybe practice making lines of different qualities, see the line when you vary the pressure at the end of it, and contrast this with a thick dark, single pressure line - you will soon come to realise where in your drawings a particular line becomes suitable.

Drawing si as much about what you leave out as what you put into it, components like hair can be better just suggested with a few small lines or area of shading than the entire area being worked.

You have some good forms within your drawings, just the more you practice and play with your drawings the more you will progress - dont be disheartened, i like what i see here!

    :-)

  3. You need to think about taking some basic drawing classes. I would buy a drawing pad and take it everywhere and practice drawing exactly what you see. Every thing is made of shapes put together. Hang in there.

  4. as the first answer said your drawing will keep getting better with practise, this afternoon i was letting out random swear words and almost in tears trying to get a page in my sketchbook right, it dosn't matter how good you get you will always get frustrated with you art, it's a good and bad thing at the same time =]

  5. everyone needs to start somewhere. i used to draw like that a year ago. you will get better, i suggest getting a Deviantart account. there are loads of artists on there waiting to comment your work!

    here is my account. http://iknomyabcdsn123s.deviantart.com/

try adding some color to your work! it would look really pretty :)

  6. Your art seemed to be improving down the list. The way I start off is I look at an image and draw it. Then with those certain poses and features I keep drawing them until I got it right, then I make my own similar to what it originally was.

Sometimes I just take my time drawing one thing and only that to improve what I need to.

I started to love drawing since pre-school and I'm happy I didn't stop.

  7. i like the way u draw its different and unique i love the 3rd,4th, and 5th one omg they r so good and so r the others.

  8. Your drawings are really good! But I think most artists are like this... Everyone tells them they are so great but you yourself don't think so. I'm not sure why though but trust me when I say they are good.
