  1. Well I don't know what you've been reading, but having owned four 250 Ninjas from 1987 onward, I have to say the 08 is the best one ever. They redesigned the head for more midrange (thank God) so you don't have to kill the engine to get moving, they put 17" wheels on it finally, added a fuel gauge finally, and bigger brakes.

If the 08 is indeed "slower" than the 07 (which I don't think it is), it can't be by more than a couple of MPH. If you're worried about 105 vs 107, don't be. One of my racebikes is a 250 Ninja. It's modified, but it will bump up against 120. Big deal. My CBR will do 161, so does that devalue my 250? No way! I don't GO the top speed on anything I own! My Ford will do 105 but WTH am I going 105 for?

I guess the bottom line is this: if speed is that important, get a 500 and stop worrying about whether the 08 250 is slower or not.

  2. First off, yes the 08 250R is gorgeous.

Secondly, from what ive heard its all around better than the previous generations model. Maybe you got the lemon in the batch?

  3. Yes and they are both slower than a Hyosung GT250
