  1. To make sure the match won't drag too long.

    It also reminds players that the "traditional" game was played with 15 points per set.


  2. it depends on the level that your playing on.

    and captains get to pick.

    but its because it makes it harder to win.

    it gives the team more pressure to win.

    and less amount of time to do it.

  3. to save time....and its usually just to break a tie breaker!

  4. Whether you are playing best of 3 or best of 5, if the match goes to the 3rd or 5th game it is always to 15. (atleast it is in high school and most club teams)

    This is because it is the deciding match, and almost like a tiebreaker.  

    They also don't want the match play to drag out too long.

  5. It actually depends on the teams.  They draw both captains to the center and flip a coin and whoever wins, it's their decision to either go 15 or 25 points.
