It's K-Rod.  He is Francisco Rodriguez, and K is the symbol for strikeouts in a baseball scorebook, so they call him K-Rod.  It also sounds like A-Rod, who plays 3rd base for the Yankees, and had his nickname first.

Angels Closer name is K Rod not A-Rod. Basically from Alex Rodriguez name. They took the K commonly used to tell a strike out. and added it to Rod. Which is part of his last name. K-Rod. Plus he strikes out a lot of batters so he got that named added also.
