Why is the Austrailian Rugby League teams' skill levels so much more advanced to our Lion's skills?

It is also due to the fact that they are better atheletes due to the climate.   The morer fitter you are the more you become accustemed to thinking quicker and taking things on board quicker.   Also the fact that they have two massive states to chose their players from, NSW & QL, where as GB have two small counties to choses their players from.    Their player database is massive,  While we have one top quality player in a certain position they have 3 or maybe 4,  This provides squad depth and competition for places with Rep & Test sides.  The  selectors of these sides pick players on current form not past reputation.  Unlike us as we cannot really afford to take that risk of playing somebody who might not turn out to be as good as the previous.

To be quite honest with you I dont think I have ever seen a Test side as good as the current Kangaroos, Their back line just ouses with skill and then they have replacements such as Lyon & Tate who can come in and do an equally good job as thoses before.

One word can be used to describe the current Kangaroos and that is ...... Fantastic.

Cmon.......  What I was saying is that you have a bigger database of footie players not a population in general.

How many Juniors are interested in playing footie In OZ.    Quite alot I imagine not so much compared to hear where the national sport is "Kick a bag of Wind around the pitch". We just dont have enough people interested in playing footie.

And of Course the fitness levels have somthing to do with with the climate.   Of course development has somthing to do with it but development in uk is equally as good as Australia.

You are naive my friend to look at things apart from the Aussie way, All Aussie's are.

Australia have a bigger database of players? Last time i checked, the population of Australia was a third of the UK... Hmm.

And because of the climate? this just keeps getting better. Whatever climate you live in can't be doing too good for your brain.

Austalian Rugby League is the world's top class of football, and our players therefore are nothing but world class. We dominate the sport becuase we are simply better players, which comes from development. This isn't only development at a junior level - there is continued development at the top level, with players making changes, and improving on thier game week by week.

Australian players are generally one step ahead. True professionals of the sport.

The real reason is because we Aussies are better at all sport except that girly soccer thing where a player falls over and he holds his leg in pain you poms have to stop doing that i keep spilling my beer with laughter

Its all to do with the attitude towards sport . I grew up in Australia and moved to the uk when I was 18 . If you showed promise at a sport you were encouraged to take it to another level outside of school but never pushed into something you didnt want to do . that way the teams were made up of good players but more importantly players that wanted to be there .
