Why is the British royal family still supported?

I have read a lot about them and it is clear that most of them have very low moral standards and take advantage of their position. I'm sure that most middle class families lead a more moral life than they do. I believe that they should be pensioned off after the Queen dies or becomes incapable.

I appreciate that it must affect their character to be raised to believe that they are special (which is clearly untrue). I have some respect for the Queen - the best of the lot. She does her duty as she sees it. The rest of them are mostly immoral parasites.

Morality aside, the primary reason the British royal family is supported because the public wants to support them.

If you were forever under the public microscope and having your every facial gesture examined, analyzed and criticized, it would make you a little batty too.

i really dont understand how peope can actually beleive what they read in the paper, most of it has no true or is blown out of porportion they are very charitable people kind and do a lot of good which is not but in the paper they work none stop and work every day of the year would you !!!!

They are good for tourism and thats about it.  Yes half of them are German and Philips side are Greek so they are just an average multicultural English family just with a bigger house !!!!!!

There have been immoral kings and queens since the invention of royalty and it tends to be the racey ones who get mentioned in the papers.

They are an important part of English culture and history. The royals do actually participate in their country and are more than just figureheads. Prince Charles is very into organic and sustainable farming practices. The Queen breeds racing horses and the younger princes are doing their duty in the British military as did their uncle, father and grandfather. Like others, they are human and do have their faults. It must be rather hard living your total life under the scrutiny of others, but they truly do live for their country.

The funniest thing about British royalty is that they are German, find out when they changed thier German last names. They keep the royalty cause it is an excuse to be racist and kill in the name of the Queen.
