Why is the Canadian Falls shaped like a Horseshoe?

How was it physically formed like that, not how big it is or how far it travelled just y it is a horseshoe.

  1. its just the geology of the land right now, some of the rock in the centre of the falls was weaker/softer than the rock at the outer edges so it wore faster than the rest and created the horseshoe effect.  Also more water flows over the horseshoe falls than the bridal vail falls and that is another factor.  a few thousand years ago or in the future the falls were/will be different


  2. The Canadians are really lucky folks and got the best side of the falls on their side of the border.
