Why is the Democratic Party against providing oil from home?

Yes, All these platitudes are party nonsense:

1).We can't drill our way out -- of course we can!

2). Let's use solar and wind -- this will take many more years to provide even 10% of our energy requirements at billions $

3). Use non polluting cars -- more nonsense, there aren't any and most people cannot afford $45,000 to buy a new car.

All this Hoopla is very strange and silly. We have to face the facts that we need oil as we emerge into a different and new energy system. We should supply our own as much and as quickly as possibe, 3 - 5 years and rely on foreign suppliers less and less.
