  1. As far as I know, each dollar printed or produced in the states has a percentage of it that goes to debt. i.e. if you get 1 dollar it's actually less in value for you since the government takes that percentage upfront without you knowing. I watched a programme called Zeitgiest which stated that information.


  2. Probably doesn't help that our trade balance has been negative since the Reagan years...
