  2. It happens to live on a Greek island , very touristic , working in a travel agency. I have met lots of tourists especially from Italy and or Spanish speaking people who they could not understood any single English word . I said to my self . //Where are they going without speaking English ? // However I have also asked my self . // Why I can't speak their language or they mine ? //

  5. Because England had wars with other countries in their history and overtook lands, as a result.  So, English became something that most places in the world had to learn.

    Look at Genghis Khan. If his grandson wouldn't have stopped at parts of Poland, his influence would've come into Europe...

  6. English is called the "International Language". Every person is "supposed" to learn this. My teacher told us that it's the only way to easily talk to other nation... Example is me. I'm a Filipino, and I know English. Now, I can understand and answer your question.
