Why is the Filling Station Restaurant in Glasgow closed at the moment? Is it a refurb or is it closing down?

  1. Hmmm, the last time I was there the foods was decidedly substandard. And my waiter was hopeless, I asked him three times over the course of 20 mins to bring me water, and he never brought it. In the end I walked over to the manager and asked her, and she brought it over straight away.  Hopefully they'll refurbish it with a new, better staff. (except the manager, she was lovely)

    I do think they charge too much for what essentially is pub grub. Or maybe just to pay for all the memorabilia. And before anyone thinks I'm tightfisted, one of my favourite restaurants is Stravaigens, and they're not exactly cheap, but I pay for quality :D

    Mmm, I'm wanting to go now lol


  2. It is temporarily closed while they refurbish it. I'm sure it will be open asap. I'll have to pop in and see it - not been in there for ages.

  3. As far as I'm aware it's not closing. I certainly hope not! it's a great place to eat!
