  1. there's not much you can do.  but every little helps.

like save enevergy. turn off your lights when not using them. try using less gas, but what ever you do, wont make much of an impact.

what we need is government help.

we need our government to set new standars for gas and enevergy.

but unfotunetly the enevergy companies have such deep pockets they can maintian they're way keeping the government from doing anything major about it.

  2. If you are doing what you can to protect the environment from contamination and climate change, then you have no need to feel guilty.

If, on the other hand, you are ignoring things you know are your responsibility as a citizen of planet earth, then you should feel guilty.

  3. Well it is because of one of the lines that the environmental movement, the labor movement and socialism evolved from. It is called Puritanism or congregationalism and this movement was responsible for the witch hunts in England and the colonies at the time of the English civil war that killed millions of innocent people buy dunking in water or burning at a stake because they said god would save his own. This same mentality is the basis for the AGW movement, everybody is a denier until they accept the true faith. And it is righteous to subject a denier to any punishment for his heresy even death itself.

Puritanism. The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.

    H. L. Mencken

People that unhappy can not help being blue and down all the time, why do you think suicide is so prevalent among liberals and rare among moderates.

  4. It is very easy to feel "guilty" in this Great Country.

    We have so much.

    We have so much freedom.

Even if we had a hydrogen economy,  there would be cries that we consume too much.

There will always be that "Big Something" to occupy people's minds.

This is the only way some people can find meaning in their meaningless life.

  5. I don't know anyone who feels this way. I know many people, including people who answer questions on this board like to discourage people. I'm not trying to solve global warming, I'm just trying to reduce my negative impact on the planet.

I share with people what I've chosen to do and hope they decide to make a few positive changes in their life. Too many people fall into the hype and think they have to spend money to save the planet, that is our consumerism society talking. I've saved a lot of money and I don't feel I'm being deprived. I spend less, I waste less and I conserve my resources. We all need to make changes that make sense in our own lives.
