Again they been showing and tell lies on all the bbc and itv news channels, today they showing lieing georgians saying russians are killing children for sport. If the n**i allied Georgia didn't attack South Ossietta and kill over 2000 innocent civillians when they bombarded the capital Tskavalli all this conflict wouldn't have happened.

  1. Over a hundred years ago, it was called "Yellow Journalism".  A large segment of the press was involved in inflaming the American public against Spain.  Eventually, we became involved in what was called the Spanish-American War.

The national press, along with most of our national politicians, are involved in the propaganda effort to involve us in war.  There are billions of dollars to be made in war.  Those who stand to increase their fortunes, employ the press, as well as our politicians.

So, where is the connection?  Why would the national press, as well as so many of our politicians promote war?  The connection is the Council on Foreign Relations.  This organization of about 4000 people contains top executives in major defense corporations, the major media, as well as the leadership of both major politicial parties.  The CFR membership has been well represented in ALL of the recent presidential administrations (going back to World War Two).

War between Russia and Georgia is unfortunate, but it really doesn't concern us.  It is not worth one American life.  It is not worth American taxpayer's money.  If our politicians are so concerned about it, why don't they go over there and fight as volunteers?  Can you imagine our politicians putting themselves in harms way?

Unless we are attacked by another country, we should never go to war.  And even then, not without a Declaration of War from the Congress.  I know I am old fashioned, but I stll believe in the Constitution, unlike the majority of our criminal politicians.

  2. The same reason they push the lies about 9/11, 7/7 , Bali, Madrid etc

because  it's Zionist and MIC controlled.

  3. Follow the money my friend.

While we are at it, How about the NASHI in your country. They make our KKK look like girls!

  4. Because there is no Russian propaganda to promote.  Immediately after the invasion, Russia claims they were not in Georgia despite the contrary video evidence.  Russia has suffered a serious set back in their attempts to be a trusted member of the world.  This is not due to the reporting of the media.  It is due solely to Russian action.

  5. Don't worry - nobody here actually believes what the press says any more.  They have called wolf before.

  6. and the russians are soooo Innocent?

I hate you, you hate me!!!!!!!!!! let's kill each other!

  7. Since when did two wrongs make a right.

    Russia has almost annexed Georgia.

  8. My word what a question box you are!

It is of course good that you feel able to question events and their reportage, but, if I may say so, disappointing that you are not able to answer this question yourself.

    There are three possibilities:

1 The correspondents have been ordered to lie and are collectively obeying orders, we might go on to wonder who might be issuing the orders and to what purpose.

    2. Individually the correspondents have decided it will be career enhancing to misrepresent what they see.

    3. That the correspondents believe what they are reporting to be true:  because, either a)  it is true, or b) because the situation presented to them has been manipulated by others to become a visual lie, again we might question who would want to do this and why.

Armed with such an analysis the recipient of press reports can begin to form his or her own opinion of the situation on the ground and its place in the wider context.

So congratulations on asking questions, you now need to be able to build on what you have learnt.

    Best wishes for the future.

  9. The Press is in the gutter because They do not expect Russia to be anywhere else, Yes it would have happened Russia will do anything to frustrate Georgias attempts to join NATO and the EEC

But they will be accepted, The Russian Commies never will be though

We know your eating the Georgian Children

  10. Personally I was surprised that the supposedly "liberal" National Public Radio (in the US) is pretty much just broadcasting what the American and Georgian regimes are saying.  They are not broadcasting what the Russian and Ossetian regimes are saying in response.

Not that I would believe any of them, but we are definitely not getting the full perspective of views here.  People living in Russia are probably just getting the Russian perspective as well.

Media blackout of the opposing side like this is what makes recruiting soldiers easy when you want to send your young people off to die.

  11. they are so used to slagging off Russia, they dont know any better

  12. silly commies

  13. Nice "Liberal" facts. In reality Russia did much worse than you claim and the media dares to show that side also. Georgia attacked the Russian backed separatists in Georgia.

  14. Y'know, if Putin gets word that he's paying you for this kind of nonsense, he's likely to have you killed. The "n***s" haven't existed as an influential entity since they were defeated in 1945. However, I am glad you brought them up since Russia's invasion of Georgia to "protect" it's citizens in South Ossietta does remind me of when I learned in history class that Hitler annexed the Sudetenland and Austria to "protect" its German citizens there.

So, you don't think Georgia should fight back when it's invaded? Interesting strategy, but I think even Putin is going to find that a stupid idea. I hope he doesn't know where you live.

  15. Your intemperate language does not help you to make an important and valid point, which is that the news we are getting on TV and newspapers are very biased. That's because old habits die hard and they are still seeing Russia as a communist country when in reality it is a creation after the capitalist mould of the west. But like Dr Frankinstein, they don't like what they have created. They think it is a monster, but in truth it is a country finding its feet and doing what it thinks is best for its citizens, i.e. defending them when they are under attack from the Georgians. The trouble is it will not dance to the tune of it's creator. Hence the chagrin and irritation.

  16. In any armed conflict of this sort there will be outrageous propaganda from both sides.  Of course Georgians are going to say the Russians are not terribly nice people. Of course the Russians are going to say the Georgians are not too nice themselves.  And of course everyone says that George W Bush is a dangerous nincompoop.

Most people read the gutter press just to hear about the habits of their favourite celebrities and how many gold medals are won by their national teams.  If they are reasonably red-blooded, they might look at the pretty girl on Page 3.  They really couldn't give a d**n about a little province somewhere in the East.  The rest of us, with any intelligence, can see through the propaganda and come to our own conclusions.

I believe that that the President of Georgia arranged a massacre in order to neutralise an annoying insurrection by ethnic Russians.  Didn't Russia do the same in Chechnya?  Didn't Russia's little ally Serbia do the same in Bosnia?

And in every case (except Chechnya which had no friends) allies were called in to give the butchers a bloody nose.

What happens next? Obviously none of these allies want a precedent set where any little group of hotheads can claim independence without a fight.  Russia has its own separatists. So does the UK.  So Russia will have to pull out as soon as possible after their punitive raid.  And that should be that.  The diplomats move in and peace is settled by political negotiation.  Georgia might consider too getting a rather better leader!
