Why is the McCain camp hiding Sarah Palin?

With so much negative news revolving around Sarah Palin, wouldn't it be best for her to just give an interview and put all the speculation to rest? Is she not ready for prime time? Seems like if she is prepared to be 2nd to the presidency, she should be able to give a simple media interview....

Why are they keeping her locked away from the press?

The best way to handle negative news, if you call the media hype and half-truths news, is to ignore it.

Why give interviews on "issues" that aren't relevant to the real issues?

She's taking the high road, something we should all strive for.

No interviews until after Nov. is the McCain/Rove strategy. Will the media fold to this idea?

Shows that the GOP are afraid that her inexperience will be her downfall.  The only reason she is on the McCain ticket are two bullet points:

pro-life

NRA

Two bullet points that will get Conservatives out to vote for McCain, who would otherwise  not support him.  The more she speaks, the more mistakes she will make and show her political inexperience.

Probably so she can be brought up to speed on issues she's not already up on.

She saw how badly Obama did in the primary debates, and that was with sympathetic moderators.  She knows she won't be cut that much slack, so she wants to be prepared so things aren't above her pay grade.

IDK? But here's what I think about Palin:

She is a well stood-up women, she looks like a very nice woman, and she is one of my many role models. John McCain is 72 (I thought he was like, 54?), and he is getting old, and is not too far away from becoming sick, and passing (come on, everyone has to [die]), and everyone knows that the VP is President when/if the President dies, so that gives... Nevermind. Maybe McCain thought that there should be a woman president.

I think that the republican base was shocked by what they did not know about Palin..... when she was chosen.... and they needed some time to discuss damage control and how to spin the problems that are obvious.
