Why is the Medicaid renewal form asking for the Other Parent's Information?

It has not asked this in the past, and I don't feel comfortable giving that information. Will my application be processed without it?

  1. I'm not positive, as I only deal directly with Medicaid ICP, but I'm pretty sure that it will NOT process without all of the information filled out. They want to know because they have the right to know. They are providing you with government assistance and they feel they get to know any and all of your and your child's personal information. They want to know why the other parent doesn't make enough money to pay for the child's health insurance.

  2. Because they will go after the other parent for reimbursement to the government for the funds that are expended.

And if you fail or refuse the info, you will not be approved.

  3. No will not be processed. You must provide all info as requested. Yes you must give other parent info so they can correctly process paperwork
