Why is the Mets bullpen so horrible?

Mets had a 7-0 lead last night, and lost 8-7 in extra innings, mainly because the bullpen blew it, AGAIN. What should they do to improve?

  1. When is Omar Minaya going to actually try not to have just about the worst bullpen in MLB.


  2. honestly idk why their so bad they were all there in 06 and they were pretty good.. They have blown 10 games this year for them they would be on pace for 100 wins and blowing the phillies out of the playoffs... They need to get someone decent in the pen like jj putz

  4. They need to call up some arms from the minors and give them a chance. Maybe find a diamond in the rough that will help propel the bullpen for the rest of the y

  5. The Mets should do a better job of evaluating pitching talent at the High School Level, the College Level and spend more on scouting in the Carribean, Central America, South America and Asia. Then again, I can say that about every franchise in major league baseball. Injuries to Met Starters such as John Maine, the fact that the Mets have lost their closer and none of the other relievers seem to be able to hold a lead add up to the Mets probably missing the playoffs this season.

  6. Mainly blew it up again? Clearly the bullpen blows and they can pickup a minor leaguer who can help the pen.

  7. The Mets bullpen was horrible from the start of the season. It is suddenly important now because they face yet another September collapse.  

  8. They have nothing to lose by calling up 3 relievers from the minors and using these kids. If anything, it'll be an improvement. Their bullpen is probably the worst in franchise history, and it'll be the reason why they won't win this year.

  9. Well, maybe their only good relief pitcher shouldnt get injured.  Or, they could let their starters go 9 innings like santana does.  GO PHILLIES, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  10. you should seriously check out the giants bullpen. i think no other bullpen comes close to how bad they are.
