Why is the Queen not older on the new £20 notes amd when will the old ones finally go out of circulation?

  1. I guess they just decided that would be the picture during her reign.  The older ones will probably go out of circulation when she dies.  Just my guess though.

  3. Whenever the portrait of the queen pictured on money changes a new official portrait is commissioned.  So they've put out new bills but didn't see the need to age her image.  The old bills will phase out over the next few years.

  4. When people are pictured on currency notes, an IDEALIZED version of them is used...the person is always pictured as attractively as possible.

  5. They only change the picture every so many years.  No word as yet when the old one is being taken out.

  6. The old ones will be phased out over the next year or so.
