Why is the Toys R Us "R" backwards?

because u know how kids write, they write a word but has some letters backwards. plus it's toys r us, a kids toy store. and it is supposed to look cute.

ol i never noticed it was i guess just so it looks like a kid wrote it like everyone else said

I think since its a kids store they wanted to be all cute and make it seem like a kid wrote it. Instead of spelling out are they put R and make it backwards. Besides gets peoples attention. After all we're talking about it.
