Why is the U.K in the E.U?

I personally think that it would be better for it to be netural

instead because we are not in the schenegen zone we dont want Eastern Blocks here so why are we in it?

  2. Presumably for the same reason that York is part of Yorkshire and Yorkshire is part of the UK - as time goes on we organise in ever larger conglomerates for mutual benefits (we hope).

  3. Because tony blair was cr*p. I wish we didn't become a part of the EU also.  

  4. There are basically two reasons, one economic, one political.

    The economic reason is basically that there are tremendous benefits to being part of the largest possible group of people with a common currency and few barriers to trade.

    The political reason is that UK gained more power over the other EU countries than it lost over itself.
