  1. oil pipeline in the Cespian Sea - a failed dream to dominate Euro-Asia Energy...

Russia owns it now - legally - after it bought an paid for it.

which is why US is pushing for Georgia to be accepted into NATO at all costs.. over Turkey, wh has more then once assisted US....

  2. Georgia although small is our ali i just cam from iraq and we have georgian troops in our alliance.  i believe at the time They had about 10,000 troops working with us

  3. Because the Georgian government gave a couple of hundred thousand dollars to a lobbyist on John McCain's campaign? They act like he's already been elected president.

  4. Its funny you say that.  Yes in words we are siding with the Georgians.  In our deeds, we sent their pissant plattoon back to their country and we are going to continue to do nothing to stop the Russians.  Seriously, the Georgian government should be happy the United States doesn't join with Russia in crushing their piddley little asses.

  5. Russia is the aggressor here. They have invaded another country without good cause.

  6. because Russia would never be behind the US. It's a pretty simple matter of our two interests conflicting, and in international politics, you're not supposed to reach a consensus like civilized adults: you're supposed to fight over it.

  7. Because Georgia is a (relatively) new democracy, which the U.S. wants to encourage, and because it has been a good ally to the U.S.

  8. Georgia is aiding us in the Iraq conflict (I believe they gave double the troops and supplies than australia did even), not to gain anything but just to help us out.

    That is one reason

  9. It's the domino effect. As goes Georgia, so goes Ukraine.

Like it or not, US is the only deterrent to Russian imperialism.  Our weakened and over-burdened military, our lame-duck president, our economic problems, and our muddle-headed diplomacy are leading us directly into another World War.

Having failed to learn anything from history, we are destined to experience deja vu all over again.

  10. Four pipelines and a little military base they want to build on Russia's border. Same old stuff.

Except for once Russia seems to be in the right. The oil is going to Europe anyway and the current pipelines are not owned by any US companies but more are...or were planned.

Also McCain top advisor works for the Georgian government as a lobbyist and just signed a huge contract with him.

edit ...over $300,000 to McCains advisor plus money to his firm...
