  2. The Americans are focused on the Muslim threat; the Chinese are not viewed as expansionists unlike the Muslims. Remembering, though, the Hindu genocide, the US recognizes that India must develop and field IRBM's to defend against genocidal neighbors.

    This is, unfortunately, a short term view. Eventually, China and India will compete for resources in a brutal way. However, that's a distant threat compared to being surrounded by Muslim nations.
