Why is the University of New Mexico Lobo RFC Not reciving the media time it deserves?

The team is not supported by the University and i mean attention not time. Plus the team is very good.

Most RFC's have to be self promoting.  It is disappointing, especially when as you point out, the team deserves the recognition.  I coached a women's university team and did weekly write ups all season.  We won mid-west's and the school barely recognized us.

But it's not just the University's.  The entire sport is overlooked in the media in the states.  How often do you see rugby even mentioned on ESPN?  Not very often.  But it is getting better!

My women's team won Div II women's national championship 2 years in a row and got a 3 sentence mention in the Detroit Free Press.  At that time we were the only winning sports team in Detroit besides the women's professional football team who won the superbowl that year.  

So, short story long, unfortunately, being a part of an RFC means not only playing the game, but also spending time promoting it to others.
