  1. If it is a sloshing noise then the egg is rotten and if the sound is a solid rattle then there is a chick, either alive or dead, inside

  2. it is probally the chck eating up the yolk inside. Yolk you should already know what it is usedfor besides when you cook it.

  3.    A egg that shakes and sloshes is ruined for consumption or incubation either. Dispose of it without breaking or you will have a most unpleasant mess to clean up.

  4. If it has just been laid . .  like you said it is just the yolk.

you CAN still eat it btw =)

  5. If you shake a fertilized egg, you can kill the developing embryo inside.  If you are trying to figure out if the egg is fertile or not, candle it - but don't shake it.

If there is a sloshing sound, you probably have a spoiled egg that you want to get rid of.

If it is a dry rattling sound, there might have been a small crack in the egg and most of the white and the yolk has dried up.  Either way, it needs to be disposed of.

If you are breeding for chicks, let your hens collect the eggs and start brooding.  I usually candle about a week into incubation and discard eggs that aren't fertile at that point.

  6. it's the baby chick ur shakin around
