  1. Because God doesn't mind if you touch yourself. That's why She made it enjoyable

  2. There is no god, so touching parts of your body is not offensive to anyone unless you do it in public.

  3. Masturbation has been considered rude to do (or even talk about) in public in almost every civilization known to man.

The main problem is that such a strong emphasis has been put against it as a public taboo that it has gotten a reputation for being wrong or a sin to do at all (which it is not).

One of the few biblical references to masturbation has been used to scare children for millennia (into doing it in private).

Genesis 38:9 (38:1 thru 38:30 if you want the whole incest tale) tells the story of god killing a man because he refused to get his brother's widow pregnant.

There are however several real dangers in masturbations (not wrong, but be cautious).

Though some people believe being too lustful by itself is bad there is no direct link between that and "sin" or wrong. Unlike the uptight Christians, many cultures including the Jews celebrate s*x when it is done between a husband and wife (even if it is for fun and not for procreation).

Targeting your lust on a real person can be a problem.

It can be de-humanizing to think of them as an object. This can also lead to an un-healthy or unrealistic obsession. Finally, it could, eventually, lead to an inability to have a relationship with a real man/woman.

If they belong to someone else (husband/wife BF/GF, what ever) that can be even worse. Coveting is wanting the exact thing someone else has.  You cannot have someone else's relationship! The best you can do is have one AS GOOD AS someone else's. (Even if you dated that same person, you will never have the exact same relationship they had with that other person).

  4. Onan was punished for "spilling his seed upon the ground" because he wouldn't sleep with his dead brother's wife, not for whacking the carrot.

  5. Just drench a glove in holy water, put it on and do it. =p

  6. Don't waste any of that ''precious seed''!! SEE BIBLE...

There are over 6 1/2 billion people on earth, and they are worried about not enough people!!

    Please!!

But, forget population, mostly it is about CONTROL!!

The fact that it feels good when you touch yourself, steps into their plans to 'control'' your s*x life! You are just not responsible enough to do it on your own! What is wrong with you? Don't use your FREE WILL to think for yourself!!

Let  THEM control your life, and run it for you.

    (SARCASM)

As long as YOU give them power to tell you what you can do with your OWN body, then they will continue to run your life, and you will JUST be along for the ride!!

It is YOUR body, you CAN decide what do with your own body!!

  7. The Bible doesnt say anything about masterbation. However it delves greatly into the subject of Lust, and i fail to see how the two aren't connected.

  8. i dont think that those exact words are in the bible(went to catholic school 8 years) but i believe that the old timer priests and pastors just would say that to scare young men out of doing it. its kinda like the old saying of(you will grow hair on you palms) it just wont happen that way. so dont worry man touch whatever you want to.

  9. Nowhere in the bible is masturbation mentioned.

It's not offensive to God.  It's offensive to the people who wrote the bible who used sexuality to control peoples' behavior.  The church considered women to be not equals, but property of men (see I Corinthians 11:8-9). The church's attempt to regulate sexual behavior was a means of subjugating women.  Controlling sexuality was a means by which the church could control people.  Masturbation was an extension of that promoted by certain Christian sects who also considered it analogous to abstinence.

  10. Because he's a prude.

  11. Your body is not your own, but was bought with a price.  It is a tabernacle in which can dwell the holy spirit.

  12. of course it doesn't say "NO WHACKING OFF" in the bible. They use fancy allegories like "don't waste the mustard seed" and c**p like that.

  13. Because our body is a creation of God to house our spirits. We are spirit children of our Father in Heaven.

The whole ability to create life is sacred. We have the ability to bring God's spirit children into the world. When we arouse these feelings in ourselves and others, it is abusing this "power" to create life that God has given us.

"There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife; how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" -Genesis 39:9

"Thou shalt not commit adultery." -Exodus 20:14

"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to feile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is sonfusion.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:" -Leviticus 18:22-24

"But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not feile himself." -Daniel 1:8

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." -St. Matthew 5:27-28

"For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men worling that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciouness; full of evny, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God, despirteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disovedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implaceable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgement of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." - Romans 1:26-32

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy, for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." - 1 Cor. 3:16-17

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." - 1 Cor. 6:19-20

    "But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

Neither filthiness, nor folish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God." - Ephesians 5:3-5

    I have more too...

"Thou shall not commit adultery or do anything like unto it."
