I could be a supporter of animal rights and thier conditions.....i could not....... i doesnt really mater. lol.

But if someone says "if you dont eat animals because they have life...why are you eating plants too, arent they living too?"

What are some points i could make?

  1. Just let it go...What is with all this arguing in the Vegetarian & Vegan category all the time?? I don't care what you eat so you shouldn't care what I eat. That is not the basis of which you would pick a friend is it? Just don't eat together & don't talk about it, you can still be friends......

  2. Better yet, if we was designed to eat only plant based foods, then why dont we have flat teeth like a cow? Instead we have the teeth of a carnivor so we can tear the flesh with ease.

  3. I get this all the time.

Plants don't have faces or brains. They can't think, they can't feel pain, they aren't aware of their surroundings, they can't interract with other plants. So tell them to get a new argument.

  4. Why would anyone want to put up arguments against vegans and vegetarians anyway? Do they annoy anyone?

Would you walk around and gather arguments against people who prefer beer to wine or arguments against people who don't smoke or don't drink etc?

So why pick on people just because they eat what they eat?

It is amazing how many people don't have a life!

You should go out more often!

  5. I know what u mean. Carlos Mencia (fat hilarious comic) said the same thing as a joke. There are some ppl that eat only fruits and seeds because eating them does not harm the plant.

  6. Plants are not self-aware beings with memories, familial associations, consciousness, and nervous systems which register pain.

  7. there is actually a form of vegetarianism that you may not kill the root of a plant for your own benifit. That's right if you will kill the plant if you eat it, it is against the rules! I hear lame ideas from both sides of the fence, & I figure it is just from ignorance(on both sides, it doesn't necessarily mean you are smarter if you eat meat or not. People need to read, & listen to comprehensively make an argument on either side. Otherwise we all look like fools, right?  :)

  8. The best argument from a vegetarian I ever received was from my brother.  He's been a vegetarian since he was 3 because the texture and the taste of meat makes him sick for some reason.  It's psychological and he knows it, but he's so used to the lifestyle that he just lets it go.

    But I digress.

If you're trying to make an argument, and you have to ask us what points are good to argue, then I think you should seriously question your own reasons for being a vegetarian.  I honestly think that it's harder for some people to eat an animal that can look at you with their big brown eyes than it is to eat a salad.  There really isn't a 100% foolproof and flawless arguement to use, and it will only be a matter of opinion.  Sorry, that's the best you'll probably get as an answer...
