I seem to remember in the last Olympics or the one before? that in the rhythmic gymnastics event, ribbons, hoops, ropes, clubs and balls were used... how come this year balls weren't anywhere to be seen?! or do I have a fuzzy memory?

  1. I want to know also...they seem to have replace the ball with the rope, which is alot like the ribbon and I like the ball better...I hope they bring it back

  2. There are 5 apparatus (ball, hoop, ribbon, rope, clubs) and every 4 years they cycle one out. In the 2004 Olympics rope was cycled out, and now ball is out. There were some ball routines in the gala.

  3. no, i think there's supposed to be balls. but idk why they're not using them.
