1. What browser do you use? Internet Explorer? Firefox? etc.

I'm taking a bit of a guess, but you might have hit the 'F11' key by mistake. If you press it while using Internet Explorer or Firefox, the top does go black, but you can still see the < > arrows. If you press it again, it returns to normal.

Give us the name of your browser and it will be easier to help!

Edit. Thank for the extra info'. I'm sorry, I can't help because I don't use BT for my internet provider, so I can't download the BT Yahoo browser to see if I can get the same effect you described.

If no-one else can help here, you might be able to get advice from BT or Yahoo - usually by looking for the 'help' link on their home page. The solution to the problem may be there, they may have a help forum, or you might be able to send an email by looking for a 'contact us' link.

Hope this points you in the right direction. :)
