  1. Because Apple want to capture more of the consumer surplus (i.e. make more money off those who are willing to pay more for a MacBook than what they charge for the white one).


  2. Mostly because it is black.

    It is the only black Apple computer, and that, in their opinion, makes it more attractive to consumers.

    It also has a larger Hard Drive if you buy the stock. However, the price is still too high to say that Apple only raised its price because of the Hard Drive.

  3. It is not that the black is more expensive than the white one it is that the more expansive macbook is black.
