  1. It is true that you can see it from a further distance even in little light. It is also partly a color from blood or fire. When you are ill or have an infecion or disease or if something is swollen it turns red.Red is frequently used as a symbol of guilt or anger like green is for enviness.Red is also used as a symbol of courage and sacrifice.Red catches people's attention, and is often used either in a negative way to indicate danger and emergency spilt in sacrifice or courage in the face of lethal danger.

  2. yea... plus what color is our blood.. and bleeding is not good... i think it started as a sterotype and then became the standard danger color...

  3. Because it's one of the primary colors.  The 3 colors speak to the 3 basic primary needs for human sustanance:

    red is self-preservation/danger/s*x,

    yellow is love/friendship/hope,

    blue is intelligence/wonder/mystery/exploration/...

Or maybe red just looks really bright.

  4. It's the color that can be seen best and from the farthest distance.

  5. The applying of value to such things as colors and numbers is culturally based.  In America, red is known as "fast", "dangerous", "S****y"... but in China it's a revered color.  Number 7 in america is lucky and in China Number 8 is good while number 4 is TERRIBLE because in mandarin the word sounds similar to the word for death in mandarin.  I look good in red and so I like the color red - but it has to be a blue red.  An orange red is evil.

  6. because it stands out.

  7. RED HAS BEEN A SYMBOL OF BLOOD AND LIFE.

RED IS A COLOUR ON THE COLOUR WHEEL HAVING BRIGHT INTENSITY AND WAVELENGTH.

IT IS CONSIDERED TO BE A WARM COLOUR AS IT SIGNIFIES FIRE AND HEAT.

The obvious use of the color red is ,because of its high visibility and inherent implication of danger.Red’s natural physiological effects make it the go-to color for grabbing attention. When something needs to be seen, it’s red

Perhaps because of that connection to pain, the color red is also used as a warning. As the most intense and easily seen color, our eyes and minds quickly become trained to understand that red means STOP—making us think before proceeding.

And, since red is such an intense, hot color, it’s often used to show passion. Emotions like anger, love, or shame can all lead to a rising inner temperature and a quickly beating heart, leaving us red with anger, burning with love, or scarlet with shame.

All of that combines to make red—by far—the most emotionally charged color of the entire color spectrum.
