Why is the cord so long on one end of my headphones?!?

I got a pair of headphones, but one of the headphone cords is really long, but the other one isn't. why is that? did I do it? HELP!

I think it is so you can listen to it in one ear without having a long dangly thing buggin ya.

So it fits better when you wear the headphones behind your neck.

Well. I'll tell you.

One is long to go into one ear all the way from your MP3 player, or whatever device you have.

The other is short because it just has to go from one side of your head, around your chin, to the other. Not all the way from your device.
