Why is the difference between day and night hardly felt at Kanyakumari but not so in Kashmir?

d duration is not felt in Kanyakumari...but it can be felt in Kashmir...y so? its not due to earths revoltion...thats sure....

Hey!!

Kanyakumari is just 8 degrees away from the equator. As equator recieves the direct Sun rays, there won't be hardly any difference between the day & night. Where as, Kashmir is 37 degrees away from the equator. So there can be about 5 hrs difference between day & night.

Since Kashmir is far away from equator as compared to Kanyakumari,difference of day and night is hardly felt in Kanyakumari.

Dear friend,

The location of Kanyakumari at the sea shore and at the point of peninsula and Kashmir is located in & among hills & mountains. So, the difference is obvious due to geographical location.
