  1. Gravity.

Probably wanted a little more, eh?

  2. To a first-order approximation the Earth is round.  This

is due to gravity.  Gravity pulls with equal strength in all

directions; therefore any variations from a spherical

shape will lead to gravitational forces that

bring the shape back into that of a sphere.

  3. thy tried square ones didn't work

  4. Earth is round for the following reasons:

    - Primarily its because of gravity every matter on it is pulled inside.

    - Earth is rotating around its axis -similar to the making of a ball made of wet sand or soil. . squeezing it inside and rotating it around.

    - third is isostasy - this is the balancing of the weight of mass on the surface of the earth. If some part is too heaby it will sink and . . . in some part is too light it will rise. |So part of the earth will rise too high and  too shallow.

    - fourth is the level of the sea will surely make the surface of the earth to form  the sphere.

  5. Because the sky is Blue and the sun is yellow

  6. The earth is round???!!

  7. The earth is not perfectly round.  It is an oblate spheroid.  The area around the poles is slightly flattened and the area around the equator bulges a bit.

The circumference of the earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles.  However, the circumference of the earth through the poles is 24,859.82 miles.  Granted that is very little difference.  It is, however, enough of a difference to make the earth an oblate spheroid and not a perfect sphere.
