Why is the environment important?

Umm, just need a little bit of help with 2 questions in my SOSE Holiday Homework. A paragraph for each would be fine. I thank you in advance for taking the time out to help me. xD.

1) Why is the Environment important?

2) Should we care for our environment and if so how?

1. You should be doing your own homework. It sticks in your head if you do AND this is an important subject.

2. Basicially once the environment's gone - it's GONE! No DO OVER's!

OMG, would you rather have animals choking on plastic containers, acid rain, garbage infested cities, the world heating up (global warming), Infectious diseases running rampant, carbon monoxide in the air, etc?! Thats why the environment is important!!

1. Because humans evolved in a bio-diverse world, not this homogeneous one that we have created over the last 60 years.

2. We should care for the environment because it is going to bite us in the ***. How?

a. Don't use anti-bacterial soap! Works no better than regular soap and only make bacteria stronger.

b. Buy your food as local as possible, after that choose organic whenever possible.

c. Make your home energy efficient.

d. Native vegetation for your landscaping/clover lawn (good for wild bees) or choose to grow food and not grass.
